Elf on a shelf.

For the past 2 years we have had the pleasure of hosting 2 elves over Christmas. The first year we did a few more things than we did last year and the fact that last year there were days when Charlotte wasn't at home as she was at the other parents house. I took pictures every day of their antics and thought it would be a good idea to do a post just in case anyone needs some ideas.

Elf on the shelf 2015.

1st December 2015.
Our elves turned up with a letter and Charlotte's advent calendar.

2nd December 2015
our elves finally had names, Syra and George, decided to go zip lining.

3rd December 2015
Caught eating chocolate and watching Elf.

4th December 2015
Magical elf garden. Plant the seeds (pink tic tacs) in the magical garden (flour mixed with glitter) and sprinkle with the magic glitter for a surprise the following day.

5th December 2015
Candy canes grew in the magic garden.

6th December 2015
George was stuck inside the Christmas cup ready for an 'elf'y smoothie.

7th December 2015
Syra, George and Anna were on a camping trip with campfire and marshmallows.

8th December 2015
Nothing like a relaxing bubble bath.

9th December 2015
This one took some work, everything was wrapped in the living room, the tree, the bookcase, the tv and even the mirror.

10th December 2015
Anyone for a sleigh ride.

This actually happened on 10th December. George was accidentally knocked off the bookcase (once Charlotte had left to go shopping or nursery the elves clean up and head back to the bookcase).

11th December 2015
After his fall George lost his magic and Syra got tired carrying him back to the north pole to tell Santa that he had an accident so he made sure they were looked after by Doc Mcstuffins when they got back.

12th December 2015
The elves came baring gifts. A magic growing snowman.

13th December 2015
Using Charlottes blocks to build a house.

14th December 2015
Anyone for tea and Christmas pudding? Elf house from Ikea.

15th December 2015
This was one of my favourite ones to do. The igloo was made with a cover from a cake covered in cotton wool balls, the frozen pond was a blue plate with a plastic wallet stuck over the top and sprayed with show and used the fish and rods from a fishing game and more cotton wool balls.

16th December 2015
Special delivery, Charlotte's letter from Santa.

17th December 2015
Even elves need a hot beverage now and again.

18th December 2015
Elsa thought they were intruders when they came back from the north pole.

19th December 2015 part 1
We were left a treasure hunt and had to find the hidden toys around the house.

19th December 2015 part 2.

20th December 2015
A bit of baking with some elf donuts made with cheerios and glitter glue.

21st December 2015
A little sewing activity today and a Happyland blind bag.

22nd December 2015
Today was special as Santa had given permission to touch the elves. We were off to London to see the big man himself up the BT tower and the elves were able to come with us.

22nd December 2015 part 2 from the rotating observation floor of the BT tower.

22nd December 2015 part 3

23rd December 2015
Craft time, the elves made a little Christmas card for Charlotte.

24th December 2015
Christmas eve box and a goodbye letter from the elves. Santa will pick up the elves when he drops off the presents so they don't need their magic so they can be handled one last time.

24th December 2015 part 2
Last photos with the elves before leaving snacks and having a bed time story.
