School worries.

From before Charlotte was nursery age I had many worries about her going to school just like every other parent. I originally wanted to home school but when she asked to go to nursery I had to let her try it. I can't fault her preschool at all, her teacher was amazing and they helped her reach her potential and pushed her which is what she needed. Preschool wasn't so much a problem because it was just for the morning but when she started school it was for the whole day. I worried about her not having friends (as she had been separated from her 2 best friends from preschool), I worried that the classes would be too big and she would be overlooked because she was advanced. Today I got the confirmation I needed that she is doing ok on the socialising side. We went to the school clown show and as soon as we walk through the door there was at least 5 little girls who started calling her over to their group and she sat in the middle and had a gossip. They looked just like a group of teenagers, the first thought was 'aww that's so sweet' then the second thought raced up 'oh no if this is what they are like now what are they going to be like when they really are teenagers!!!!!'

There is still worries about how she will get on when she moves into year one, Is she going to be separated from her friends again? Is she going to be challenged enough to keep her pushing as far as she can go? We will see.

I have put a post on instagram about me returning to this blog so if you are visiting why not drop a message/comment and let me know what you like, what you want to see on this page or just a little hello.
